INERT INTERSTICES - ENCLAVE URBAN PIECES
Simón Bolívar Park, Pablo VI, La Esmeralda and CAN.

It works on a sector of the city located in the geographical center of the city, with outstanding urban qualities and made up of different urban pieces characterized by the disconnection of these pieces from each other and the functioning as enclaves of each one in its singularity of uses and dynamics. .

The project proposes an intervention on the interstices and vacant spaces of each of the pieces so that they are articulated with the others, forming a diverse city sector but connected by the new complementary dynamics that seek a compact city model, of mixed uses, active at different times and designed for pedestrians and sustainable development.

phenomena

This is the name given to the urban changes caused over time by the different economic, political, social and environmental dynamics on the territory at different scales.

- Intermittent pressures in time - Simon Bolivar Park

- Inert edges that separate and reinforce individual enclaves

- Typological changes in residential sectors due to commercial pressures

Strategies

The strategies consist of the intervention on the empty spaces with the creation of container devices for activities that encourage activities and pedestrian flows to the Park and of inhabitants of the surrounding residential sectors, achieving connections and integrated circuits between the different urban pieces to consolidate a sector of city with a diversity of active uses.
