Itinerant Pavilion

The project was born as an academic contest carried out in the same Casa Museo Rafael Nuñez in March 2019 thanks to the interest of the Ministry of Culture in including within its maintenance of this heritage landmark, a pavilion-type installation in the courtyard of the home with the program of a cafe + printing press that reactivates the space and the memory of the heritage building.

In 2021, the conservation maintenance work is carried out on the heritage house and the design and is approved the construction of the Café + Imprenta designed by the same team of 2019 students, now professionals, in collaboration with members of the Ministry of Culture. Some adjustments are made to the initial project idea which can be seen clicking here.

The design of the project is based on a simple language composition, a clear and pure composition that seeks to be implanted with disposition towards the Rafael Núñez House Museum, respecting its value without taking away any prominence and, on the contrary, complementing its uses. Wood is used as the main material for the structure and enclosures with commercial presentation modules that facilitate its construction and possible assembly due to the itinerary sought in the intentions of the Ministry of Culture.
